Welcome to our 1st annual
Breast Cancer Awareness
 Blog Hop.
We are so glad that you have decided to join us for this very important cause.  According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. And since there is currently no cure, early detection is crucial. You can do this by having yearly mammograms, yearly clinical breast exams, and regular self-breast exams.
We have some FABULOUS sponsors for this hop!!!!!
You MUST leave a comment on each blog in the hop to be eligible for any and all prizes.
Also, for all prizes you wish to be considered for, you MUST visit their FB pages and/or blogs, LIKE & FOLLOW, and leave a comment on FB. So, if you want to be eligible for ALL the prizes, (I know I would!) You have a bit of work to do, but I promise, it will be worth it!!!

I  lost my grandmother to breast cancer some years ago. She was like my Mom in many ways. She had a mutated gene called the brca2. Some years later my 1st cousin at the age of 39 was diagnosed with stage 3-4 breast cancer also cause by this same gene. It increases your risk up to 85% to get cancer. She is the bravest woman I know. She has fought breast cancer and is winning!!! She is currently in remission. :) She is a FIGHTER!!! Love you Sonya!

 Now some blog candy.

I am the owner of Scrapping Bug Designs and the winner of my blog candy will receive this cut file that I used to make this layout with. Original template by Kristi W Designs.
File comes in  SVG, AI, PDF, DXF, MTC, EPS, PNG, COLORED GSD AND COLORED WPC formats.

Also... the winner will take home.....

If you would like to make a donation to the cause, you can go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure or the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.
Now it's time for you to go to Corry ~ http://craftncorry.blogspot.com
Thanks for hopping with us!

  2. Chrissy your layout it GORGEOUS.... I love it! So happy to read your cousin is in remission... and so sorry about the loss of your dear friend... I followed her journey via FB on your posts and cried everytime I read them... I think because it was so close to home... misty eyed as I type this. My sister in law was a cancer survivor, but in the end we lost her due to a blood clot and she left behind a 10 year old who suffers with Aspergers disorder (this runs along the spectrum of Autism). He came to live with us and is now 20 and a college student working on his Associates in Arts... I believe she is looking down and is very proud of him! I didn't mean to write a book here...lol, but wanted you to know I think your an awesome person for what you have done for your friend and her children... God Bless :))

  8. I love this beautiful layout. The mice are too cute. I love the way you embellished it and how you really made the paper stand out. My family has the gene for breast cancer as well. My aunt has had it twice. My doctor wants to test me to see if I have the gene as well. Thank you for the encouragement to get the test done.

    Blessings,
    Shawnee

Thank you for sharing your story! It's a scary thing to know you carry that gene but as long as you are proactive, there's always a better chance of beating it. Congrats to your cousin and her remission!
